FAQ Page

What types of waste do you accept?

We can accept all types of Universal Waste including lamps, batteries, ballasts, mercury devices, and various electronics. If you don't find a product that fits your needs, let us know and we will work with you to provide a solution.

Why Do I Have To Pay To Recycle These Materials?

Many people don't know that it is standard for companies to charge a small fee for recycling fluorescent lights or batteries. That is because it is a costly process to safely process the mercury gasses that are inside the bulbs or the acid, lead, or other potentially hazard or toxic materials found in batteries.

The cost you see not only takes care of shipping but also this process described above. Our facilities are all EPA audited and Part B certified. Contact us if you have any questions about our facilities, pricing, or operations.

Do you offer transportation?

All shipping costs are included with our pre-paid mail-back recycling kits. We also offer transportation by LTL or full truckload thru our Cleanlites bulk pickup program.

Is a pickup included?

Not always. LampMaster will cover the pickup fee as a courtesy, if one is requested. However, a pickup is not guaranteed as part of our mail-back service. If a pickup is missed that must be addressed with the carrier. LM will not schedule a pickup on behalf of a customer or contact a carrier to inquire as to why an item was not picked up. LM mail-back kits can always be dropped off at the local UPS/FedEx (check your return label).

Where is your office located?

We have multiple facilities in Ohio, Michigan, Minnesota, and South Carolina. Visit our Cleanlites website for more information. We do accept drop-offs at most locations so if you're within driving distance, this may be a better option than ordering a mail-back recycling kit.

Where is my return shipping label?

All return shipping labels should already be attached to your recycling container (box or pail). We usually hide it under the "Instructions Enclosed" packing slip to protect it during shipment to the customer. If you don't see it, or it has been damaged and unreadable, contact us and we will send you a new one.

Does My Recycling Kit Expire?

No! Your recycling kit does not expire. While the return label with our shipping partner may no longer be valid after more than one year of purchase, you can contact LampMaster and we will provide a new one.

How can I get a quote?

If you have large quantities or multiple locations we may be able to offer discounted pricing or a bulk pickup solution that may be more cost-effective. Contact us by email, phone or the form below and we can discuss options.
